Lead Uppercut → Cross → Lead Body Hook → Switch Knee → Lead Horizontal Elbow
AdvancedA long, advanced combination that never lets the guard settle. It cycles head, body, body, knee, and back to the head, chasing the defence to a new level with every strike.
What this combo trains
This chain develops multi-level attacking and the stamina to keep a combination organised deep into a round. The strikes cycle head, body, body, knee, head as the guard chases each level, so every strike sets up the next by pulling the defence out of position. It trains close-range weapon selection across punches, a knee, and an elbow, plus the footwork and balance to feed the switch knee in the middle of a punching flurry.
Step by step
- 1.Lead Uppercut
Start the lead uppercut in close where straight punches jam, rising it up the middle to lift the guard and the chin.
- 2.Cross
Answer with the cross off the rear hand, driving hip rotation straight through the opening the uppercut created.
- 3.Lead Body Hook
Drop the lead body hook into the ribs or liver as the hands come up to protect the head; this is the classic fight-ender that pulls the guard back down.
- 4.Switch Knee
With the elbows now flaring low, switch the feet and drive the lead knee up on the momentum of the swap.
- 5.Lead Horizontal Elbow
Land close on the lead horizontal elbow (sok ti), slashing across at head height while you are still tight in the pocket from the knee.
Common mistakes
- Throwing the uppercut from too far out where it has no leverage; it belongs in close where straights get jammed.
- Rushing all five strikes and losing balance before the switch knee, which needs a clean foot swap to generate power.
- Leaving the body hook short so the guard never drops, which removes the reason for the knee and elbow that follow.
- Reaching with the final elbow from range instead of staying tight; the sok ti only works at close quarters.
Who it suits
An advanced combo for experienced fighters with the range control to blend punches, knees, and elbows. It works from both orthodox and southpaw because the app mirrors every left and right to your stance.
Why it works
A long multi-level chain cycling head, body, body, knee, head as the guard chases each level.
